What is The Pillar Foundation?
The Pillar Foundation is a private,
charitable, educational foundation created to defend and support traditional
Biblical Christianity - the philosophy, values, and way of life based
on the inerrant Word of God. These were the motivating convictions of
our nation's Founding Fathers and provided the moral foundation of our
nation's spiritual, civil, social, business, and educational institutions.
The mission of The Pillar Foundation
is to preserve the truth of the Christian faith and restore our nation's
Christian heritage.
The Pillar Foundation intends
to fulfill this mission through the following means:
- A lending library of Christian books, magazines, audio and videotapes,
and CD-ROMs
- A resource library of rare and valuable works for reference and research
- Instruction, lectures, seminars, and conferences significant to the
Christian worldview and the exercise of Christianity in our present
society
- Information based on in-house research for people and groups with
convictions, vision, and mission compatible to our own
The services presently being
offered to the homeschooling community at no charge are part of this mission.
The Pillar Foundation is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization to which
donations can be made to help further our mission.
How much do courses
cost?
All courses offered at The Pillar
Foundation are free, unless otherwise noted. Students and
their parents are responsible for the cost of course materials and books.
Courses are only taught at The Pillar Foundation in Ellisville, MO.
What is the Pillar library?
The Pillar Foundation library
is available to all homeschooling families. The library is designed
to provide a place of research and study that focuses primarily on the
Biblical Worldview.
Our book selection covers over
eleven major categories such as: Education, Science, Family and Home,
History, Christianity and Religion, Moral and Social Issues, Civics, Philosophy,
Economics and Finances, Biographies and Autobiographies, Classical Literature,
and Children's Books.
We also offer a wide variety
of audio and video tapes that fall under these general categories. Presently,
our library is composed of over 4,000 books and tapes, and continues to
grow each year.
The library also has Student Computers with limited
internet access, and a wide variety of study tools for research. We
also provideTV/VCR units for students to use with library materials.
